Rooster Randomly Shows Up At Auto Shop And Decides He “Works” There Now
Who said that a rooster can’t work at an auto shop? No one, probably. Despite that, this one named Earl has once and for all proved to the world that the good old saying “the sky’s the limit” is relevant even in the world of roosters. And how did he do that? By becoming a worker at an auto shop. Alright, alright, he’s not ACTUALLY working there. But it can sure seem like it sometimes.
Feeling confused? Let us explain.

This cutie that you can see in the photos below randomly showed up at this auto shop in North Carolina one day and decided to stay there

It all happened in the summer of 2018. This abandoned rooster showed up and it seemed like he wasn’t planning on leaving any time soon. The employees of the garage fed him and thought that he was gonna move to another spot soon, since they were planning on taking some days off.
But when they came back, the rooster was still there

Turns out, Earl sleeps in a nearby tree at night, though if the weather is bad, he stays inside the garage.
Every morning, Earl greets his fellow employees by running to them. “He comes running when the first guy comes in to open up for the day. He gets his cup of scratch, then wanders the shop looking for any bugs that may be around. He gets up under all the toolboxes and work benches looking for spiders and anything else he can find,” Joe Gallo, co-owner of R and R Garage, told The Dodo.
They named him Earl

Throughout the workday, Earl likes to follow his colleagues around the garage and casually hang out with them.
“He will come up in the shop and usually lay down and sleep under the car you’re working on or in a corner. He doesn’t care about loud noises or people walking by. He will even sleep in front of the office door and we’ve tripped over him a few times,” Joe Gallo told The Dodo.
At this point, Earl is kind of a local celebrity

“We can’t believe the attention Earl is getting… it’s the town gossip now. We do have customers that bring other friends or family to see Earl when they come pick up their vehicles,” the co-owner of the garage told The Dodo.
