Russian Artist Breathes In New Life By Colorizing Vintage Hollywood Stars’ Photos (30 Pics)
Russian artist Olga Shirnina (better known as Klimbim) is dedicated to colorizing her country's historical photographic collection. She has colorized with her technique the portraits of the Romanov family, personalities of the Russian Revolution, and the heroes of the Second World War, as well as artists and politicians from around the world.
This time, the theme of Golden Age of Hollywood is in the limelight. The talented artist colors the actresses and actors of the bygone classical Hollywood era of early to mid twentieth century. Back then, almost everybody knew the names of these Hollywood stars. But now these once-iconic images require refreshment. And surely enough, Olga refreshes the cultural memory quite remarkably. One could say she brings the pop back into these once-bright icons.
